Kunsthochschule Kassel

Kunsthochschule Kassel or Kassel Univeristy (www.kunsthochschule-kassel.de) was founded in 1971 and is the newest university in the state of Hessen. It attracts more than 17,000 students from over 100 countries worldwide. Study courses consisting of different modules in accordance with international standards as well as practical aspects and close contact between students and professors are the hallmark of the University of Kassel. There are also other attractive features; for instance, the university is well equipped with student hostels and cafeterias as well as being one of the most attractive campuses in the whole of Germany.

Kassel University offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate study programmes in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences, Economics and Business, Natural Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Architecture, Urban Planning and Landscape Planning, International Agriculture and Environmental Protection, and Fine Arts. Nowadays, the School of Art and Design at Kassel is one of the few art academies offering both scholarly and artistic courses: Fine Art, Visual Communication and Product Design can be studied alongside Art Education and History of Art
